What kind of hardware is needed to run MD2 ?

MD2 runs on networks utilizing either Novell Netware@ or Microsoft Windows Server@ operating systems, configured in a client-server configuration.  A dedicated file server is generally required, with appropriate backup mechanisms.  Very small networks may be configured as peer-to-peer.

What size practice is this most appropriate for?

MD2  is designed around an SQL database, one of the key benefits of which is its scalability. This allows the MD2  software to run in practices as small as a single provider, or as large as a hundred.

What is SQL?

Structured Query Language, the de facto standard in relational data base systems, an industrial-strength solution to data storage and reporting.  Users running Netware make use of SQL from Pervasive Systems, while Windows Server users utilize Microsoft’s SQL Server@.

What about reports?

MD2 includes a full suite of standard management reports, and you can run your practice using nothing more than these.  But when you need something a little different, our SQL-based design allows you to create your own custom reports by using third party tools such as Crystal Reports@.  Whether it’s an ongoing report requirement for your practice or some ad hoc report you need, you can get the answers you need out of the data base by yourself.

What is the on-going cost of electronic claims processing?

Zip. Zero. Nada.  There is no monthly or per-claim cost of doing electronic claims processing on MD2 .

How is training handled?

Training is done at your site.  Requirements vary by specific installation, but in general, two to three weeks of on-site training and installation assistance is generally sufficient to get your users fully up to speed.

How much does it cost?

License fees for MD2 are a function of the number of  “seats” or concurrent users required.  Or, as our sales people might say, it doesn’t COST anything; MD2 saves you money!
